Kenzo

Another big show, inspired by the expeditions of Pierre de Brazza and showcasing an array of natural hues. Kenzo really did a great job all around, possibly one of the best shows I have seen in Paris thus far. The setting was perfect, held in a huge desolate warehouse at Halle Freyssinet the runway was lined with large jars of sand that poured as the models took their final stroll. The effect in turn was enchanting and really emphasized the unaffected african influence and time travel aspect of the inspiration (Pierre de Brazza of the 1880's). I really liked how they expanded on this idea and took it to the next level. The sunglasses, hats, and bow-like ties were brilliant-a bit of a conservative tongue and cheek for such a big line which I thought was great.
