I felt a little nostalgic today . . . with all that is happening with Galliano right now . . . I just wanted to escape to a more innocent time where McQueen was just being him . . . when I first saw this collection . . . this is when I fell madly in love with him . . . though I've bought some pieces from his other collections, but this one . . . took my breath away . . . it was Hitchcock, insane asylum, meets Seven (the movie) of course, with Ostrich feathers galore . . . it was just breathtaking to watch!!! I'm sure it would have been a cathartic experience being in the actual show . . . this kinds of stuff inspires me and want to be daring and creative and innovative and fuck everyone else . . .

Alexander McQueen Fall 10
Tribal. Prints. Drought. McQueen opted for a very neutral color palette showing many head to toe print looks. Personally I saw it as the terrestrial, at times tribal version of his famous underwater womens collection he just showed a few weeks ago. There was definitely a bit of a goth undertone per usual.I couldn't help but notice a bit of a 60-70's influence with the seamless print and pilgrim hair. Very different than his last collection but took us to a new place. The fit seemed a bit questionable on some pieces. Definitely can see it having a rippling effect as far as color is concerned for next fall.
